We meet twice a month at my house, and we do the following:
- Eat together
- Discuss lesson (each week someone takes a turn to teach) – Pitfalls of ministry
- Pray general
- Personal ministry time (everyone contributes) – this is a time to use your gifting and grow your gifting. The more you use your gifts of the Lord, the more you develop them.

What are Private victories? Private victories are personal and relate to you as a person. Being pro-active is the opposite of being reactive. Both are active and stopping the inner impulse inside yourself by killing the flesh.
It takes people with godly character and habits to serve in the kingdom of God. That means taking steps to build your moral character – a doer of God’s Word and practice what they preach. It consists of studying the word, praying and making a history of right choices – hidden victories that make sure success in ministry.
Have you ever been around a prophet and had a check about them? It could be they have private sin. They act one way in public, but maybe they do pornography in secret, watch shows God would not approve of, treat others bad like their wife, etc. Again, this has to do with right choices. We need to learn about being rigidly righteous even when no one is around.
Gifts come without repentance, but if you are highly anointed but lack character, there will be disheartening results.
Learn about the attitudes to watch for when going into ministry. The enemy will trick you, people will hurt you, and people will discredit you. Also, learn how not to fall into pride and realize what we do in ministry is of the Lord. We must die, and the Lord must increase (holy spirit).
